Fire Extinguisher Servicing & Fire Safety Maintenance in Kepong and Kuala Lumpur
Every portable fire extinguisher in your premises needs a professional service once a year, plus a valid sticker that shows it has been done. In Kepong and the rest of Kuala Lumpur, where shoplots, factories, offices and residential buildings sit close together, keeping track of dozens or hundreds of units is easy to put off until an inspection is coming up.
Fire Infinity Engineering Services is a CIDB grade G5 fire protection contractor based in Sungai Buloh, next door to Kepong. We service fire extinguishers and maintain fire safety systems for premises in Kepong and across KL.
Fire Extinguisher Servicing in Kepong
Our Fire Extinguisher service covers:
Annual servicing of water, foam, ABC dry powder, CO2 and wet chemical extinguishers, carried out in line with MS 1539 Part 4
Refills and recharging after use or loss of pressure, following MS 1181
Hydrostatic testing arrangements for CO2, water and foam units, which are due every five years
Supply of new units chosen for your fire risk, following MS 1539 Part 3
Choosing the right type matters:
Water: Class A (wood, paper, fabric)
Foam: Class A and B (flammable liquids)
ABC dry powder: Class A, B and C (flammable gases)
CO2: Class B and electrical fires (not Class A)
Wet chemical: Class A and F. It is the only correct choice for cooking oil fires.
What eFEIS Means for You
eFEIS is Bomba's online system for portable fire extinguishers. Servicing has to be done by a Bomba-registered Competent Person (orang kompeten) enrolled in eFEIS, and each serviced unit gets an eFEIS QR sticker. When you hire anyone to service your extinguishers, check that this is how the work will be done and recorded.
One common mix-up: eFEIS is not the portal for renewing your fire certificate. That is a separate process.

FAQ
How do I know if my extinguisher has been serviced properly? A properly serviced unit carries a valid eFEIS QR sticker, and the service should be done by a Bomba-registered Competent Person enrolled in eFEIS.
Which extinguisher should my restaurant kitchen have? For cooking oil and fat fires (Class F), a wet chemical extinguisher is the correct choice. A fire blanket is also useful for small kitchen fires.
Can I use a CO2 extinguisher on a paper or wood fire? No. CO2 is meant for Class B and electrical fires. For Class A materials, use a water, foam or ABC dry powder unit.
